  • We work with individuals of all ages and specialize in areas such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit, career counseling, life adjustments, boundary setting, self-esteem, self-discovery, and more. Our approach includes evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps identify and change negative thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focuses on emotional regulation and mindfulness skills. We also incorporate other perspective-shifting therapies to help you navigate challenges, improve your well-being, and achieve your personal goals.

  • Our team is made up of licensed, compassionate therapists who are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for every client. Each therapist brings a unique background and set of specialties, but all share a commitment to evidence-based, client-centered care.

Our therapists hold advanced degrees in counseling, psychology, or social work (such as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD), and they are fully licensed in the state. They also participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and best practices in mental health care.

You can learn more about each therapist’s background, approach, and areas of focus on our Meet the Team page.

  • Before your first session, we’ll ask you to complete a few simple steps to help us get started:

    • Intake Forms – You’ll receive digital forms to fill out, which include basic information, consent for treatment, and a brief overview of your concerns and goals.

    • Insurance or Payment Info – If you’re using insurance or paying privately, we’ll collect the necessary details ahead of time.

    • Scheduling Your First Session – You can book online, by phone, or by email. We’re happy to help find a time that works for you.

Once the paperwork is complete, you’re all set. We’ll take it from there and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

  • Your first session is all about getting to know you and making sure you feel comfortable. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and any questions or concerns you might have.

It’s a chance for your therapist to learn about your history, goals, and what support looks like for you. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say—just come as you are.

By the end of the session, you'll have a better sense of how therapy works, whether it feels like a good fit, and what the next steps will be moving forward.

  • If you reach out and are not yet established with our practice, please allow 24-48 hours to get back to you.

Privacy & Confidentiality

  • If you are experiencing an emergency, hang up and dial.

If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, it's important to reach out for support immediately. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Reach out to someone you trust: Talk to a friend, family member, or someone who can provide support. Sometimes just sharing what you're going through can help you feel less isolated.

    2. Call a crisis hotline: These services can provide immediate, confidential support. They are available 24/7 and can guide you through your feelings. Some national resources include:

      • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (USA): 988

      • Crisis Text Line (USA): Text HOME to 741741

    3. Visit an emergency room: If you're in immediate danger or feeling unable to keep yourself safe, it's important to seek help at the nearest emergency room.

It's important to remember that you don't have to go through this alone help is available. We are here to provide support, but we are not a crisis center. For immediate assistance, please contact one of the resources above.

Payment & Insurance

  • Yes, we accept a variety of insurance plans. We are in-network with:

    • Blue Cross and Blue Shield

    • Aetna

    • North Carolina State Employees Aetna CPP Program

If we are out-of-network with your provider, we can still provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) so you can request reimbursement directly from your insurance company, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

Not sure what your plan covers? Your insurance provider can help navigate the process or verify your benefits before your first session.

  • For clients with insurance, your co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible will be determined by your specific plan. Please reach out to your insurance representative for details about your coverage.

For private pay or out-of-network clients, the rate is $225.00 per hour. However, we offer a reduced rate of $125.00 per hour for those facing financial need.

  • When registering, clients are required to keep a card on file to cover co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.

  • Not sure what your plan covers? No worries! Your insurance provider can help you check your benefits and guide you through the process before your first session.

Therapy Process

  • A typical session lasts from 50-53 minutes.

  • If you feel that it's not a good fit, please share your concerns with your therapist. We're dedicated to helping you find the right support, whether that involves connecting you with a different team or referring you to another practice. Our goal is to ensure you have the support that best meets your needs for a successful journey.

  • IYou are welcome to contact your therapist between sessions, but please keep in mind that they may not be able to respond right away. Most therapists check messages during business hours and will address your concerns in the next scheduled session. If you find yourself in need of immediate support, it’s always a good idea to reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or a crisis hotline. Your therapist will also clarify their preferred method of communication and response times so you feel supported while respecting professional boundaries.
