We are a Family that Practices Together.
Our family is deeply committed to mental health and ending the stigma surrounding mental health diagnoses. We believe therapy should be warm, collaborative, and personalized to honor each individual’s unique journey. At the core of our work is the understanding that every person longs to be seen, heard, and truly understood—because in that connection, healing begins. Together, as a family, we create a compassionate and supportive space where every client feels valued, empowered, and never alone on their path to wellness.
Our Story
In 2019, we started as Blake Counseling and Coaching but soon realized that the name didn’t fully reflect the warm, inclusive, and holistic environment we wanted to create. After rebranding to Coffee Talk Therapy, PLLC, we worked hard to foster a welcoming, home-like atmosphere for therapy. However, we recognized that the name still didn’t capture our broader mission: to provide affordable care to those who need it most.
In 2024, we took another step forward, becoming Coffee Talk Health and Wellness, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to making mental health care accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances. Through our therapy services, retail store, and the generous support of donors like you, we remain a self-funded, independent organization. We are passionate about breaking down barriers and normalizing therapy, ensuring mental health care is available to all—and your support is key to making this possible.
In 2023, Hunter embarked on an exciting new journey by founding Remembered Therapy, PLLC, marking a significant milestone in his career. He now shares the same building with us, where we work closely together, supporting each other’s missions with a shared sense of purpose.
We are also proud to collaborate with Michele’s mother, Jackie Kelly, the owner of Jackie’s Basics and Beyond and the non-profit Dogs with a Purpose. In the near future, we hope to expand our services by combining therapy with therapy dog visits and events, raising awareness about the important role dogs can play in the mental health healing process.
Additionally, our oldest, Crissy, specializes in Early Childhood Education and, in her spare time, teaches dance to preschool children. In the future, we hope to integrate her expertise in developmental stages and parenting strategies, offering valuable guidance to parents navigating these crucial years of growth and learning. Together, we aim to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to mental health and wellness, supporting individuals and families at every stage of life.
Our Guiding Principle
Love our neighbor as ourselves.

Yes, I was a clown. To be honest I still am.

In 1989, a cheetah met a chameleon and fell in love.

1991 - Engaged (We were so young!)

1992 - Married (And yes, that's a mullet. Don't judge!)

Yes, it's been 33 years, but not without its ups and downs.

Our Kids-Crissy, Hunter and Zoë.

Me and my mini-me (she's 4'10", by the way)

My Dad and Me.

In Loving Memory of My Dad and His Beloved Abby.
